Autumn Cohort
You gave birth. And you became a mother.
Sometimes those don't feel like the same thing
And, maybe that's because you've never had the language for what becoming a mother has been asking of you.
A 12-week journey for mothers recovering from an unplanned cesarean who are ready to understand their experience, honour their own becoming, and remember that they matter too.

Jessica
I'm Jessica
I'm a licensed therapist, and somatic coach, and currently developing The Birth Trauma Witch
I didn't create The Mother of All Seasons because I had all the answers.

I created it because I needed somewhere like it myself.
After my own unplanned cesarean, something cracked open that years of clinical training hadn't prepared me for. I stopped trusting my body at the exact moment I needed to trust it most. Like so many mothers, I found myself grieving a version of motherhood I thought I'd have, while trying to make sense of the woman I was becoming.

The way back wasn't through trying harder. It wasn't another mindset strategy. It wasn't pretending I was okay.

It was through slowly tending to my relationship with my body, the land, the seasons, and the ancestral practices that reminded me I belonged to something older than productivity and perfection, and that shift helped me to finding my identity in motherhood, not the one I dreamed of before I had my cesarean, but the one that I was meant for, and the one that feels embodied, nourishing, rooted and present.

Today, I weave together my background as a therapist, years of training in somatic practice, and my studies with land-based educators, spiritual teachers, and ecological traditions into work that helps mothers understand matrescence as the rite of passage it has always been.

Because I don't believe mothers need fixing. I believe they need witnessing. And I would be honoured to witness yours.

What if becoming has its own rhythm?
Motherhood isn't a problem to solve. It's a rite of passage. And like every rite of passage, it asks something different of us than our culture often offers.
It doesn't ask us to bounce back. It doesn't ask us to become the mother we imagined we'd be. It doesn't ask us to rush through grief, uncertainty, or the slow unfolding of who we're becoming.
It asks us to slow down. To listen. To honour what this season is asking of us. To trust that becoming happens in rhythms, not deadlines.
The Mother of All Seasons is a 12-week Autumn rite of passage weaving somatic practice, seasonal wisdom, community, and ceremony to help you move with this season instead of against it.
Questions You Might Be Wondering
Do I need to already know what matrescence means?
Not at all. We'll explore matrescence together throughout our twelve weeks. Simply put, it's the lifelong psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual transition into motherhood. You don't need any previous knowledge, just a willingness to become curious about your own experience.
Is this therapy?
No. While I'm a licensed therapist, The Mother of All Seasons is a coaching and educational container, not psychotherapy or crisis support. This work weaves together somatic practice, seasonal wisdom, reflection, ceremony, and community to support your journey through matrescence. Many women find it complements therapy beautifully, but it isn't a replacement for clinical care.
What if my birth wasn't a cesarean?
This container is for mothers who feel their transition into motherhood still feels unfinished. Whether that's because of an unplanned cesarean, a difficult birth, birth trauma, loss, identity shifts, or simply the quiet grief of becoming a mother, you're welcome here. If you've found yourself thinking, "I thought motherhood would feel different," you'll likely feel at home.
What if I don't feel "spiritual," or don't have an existing practice?
Then you're exactly who I had in mind. You don't need to arrive already believing in ceremony, seasonal living, animism, or ancestral practice. You don't need to adopt my beliefs or practices. This work is an invitation, not an expectation. Together, we'll explore rituals and seasonal wisdom as gentle ways of making meaning, while helping you discover practices that feel authentic and rooted in your own life. Curiosity is all you need to bring.
What actually happens during the 12 weeks?
Each week we'll move through Autumn together. You'll receive:

πŸ‚ Weekly live somatic coaching calls
πŸ‚ An Autumn Field Guide with teachings, practices, and reflections
πŸ‚ A supportive community of mothers walking this season beside you
πŸ‚ The RITE Framework (Resource, Insight, Tend, Embody) to help you integrate what you're learning into everyday life
πŸ‚ A closing personal ceremony to honour the season you've moved through

The goal isn't simply to learn something new. It's to experience your own becoming differently.
What if I can't attend every live session?
Life with children is beautifully unpredictable. Calls alternate between morning and evening times to support different schedules and time zones, and recordings are available if you miss one. This isn't about perfect attendance. It's about staying in relationship with yourself throughout the season.
What happens before we begin in September?
Founding Members will receive access to the community beginning August 3rd. You'll also receive your Autumn Field Guide early, giving you time to settle into the space, gather any simple seasonal materials for our practices and ceremony, and prepare gently before our first gathering on September 1st. Because meaningful transitions aren't rushed.
Is this for me if I'm several years postpartum?
Yes. Matrescence doesn't end after the newborn months. Many mothers find that once the intensity of early parenting settles, they're finally able to notice everything they never had space to process. Whether you're six months or six years into motherhood, you're welcome if this season speaks to you.
Why Autumn?
Because every season has its own wisdom. Autumn invites us into slowing down, releasing what no longer fits, honouring grief, trusting our intuition, and making meaning of change. It felt like the truest place to begin. Over time, The Mother of All Seasons will continue through Winter, Spring, and Summer, with each season offering its own teachings, practices, and ceremony while following the same underlying framework.
Why join the Founding Cohort?
Because every tradition begins with a first season. As a Founding Member, you'll receive the lowest investment this offer will ever have, early access throughout August, and the opportunity to become part of the very first community to walk this journey together. There's something special about beginning at the beginning.
A Different Story
Modern motherhood has forgotten one essential truth.
Becoming a mother is not simply an event.
It is a rite of passage.
Yet we live in a culture that prepares women to give birth, and then expects them to return to life as if nothing profound has happened.
We call the confusion an identity crisis.
We call the grief hormones.
We call the longing burnout.
But what if none of those explanations are the whole story?
What if you're not lost?
What if you're in the middle of becoming?
